Michael and I usually get "real" trees for our Christmas tree each year. I say "usually," but we only put a tree up when family is visiting for the holidays. Otherwise we scrooge it and go without.
But now that Gloria is here and we will be putting a tree up each year, I want an artificial one. I don't like real trees. They're messy and it seems like a big wasteful pain-in-the-butt to cart them in and out of the house just so they can sit in the corner and shed needles for two weeks.
Plus, I want a white tree. OR A PINK ONE.
So I went today looking for artificial trees, figuring that they would be starting to go on sale, given that Christmas is less than two weeks away.
No deal. They're so expensive! And I just can't justify spending over $100 on something that will be considerably cheaper in two weeks' time. So I made a compromise ...
Hahaha. This is our tree this year. It's actually cuter in person - it's made out of green glitter. We're going to buy a big, tacky white artificial tree when they go on post-Christmas sale.
The house is all decorated and I'm finished wrapping all of my gifts. It feels like Christmas!!
Second favorite thing of the day, after tiny trees: pudgy baby hands.
I love your tree!
