G-L-O-R-I-I-I-I-A

Many people ask me how my Border Collie, Kevin, feels about Gloria being around.  I can never quite put into words the neurotic feelings that emanate from Kevin on this issue.  Luckily I caught a photo that does this for me.

A Facebook friend put it best - "I'm getting that Kevin thinks Gloria is like a car accident that you can't turn away from."   Being that Kevin was my first baby, I can empathize.  This is about how I felt when my younger sister came into the picture.  (Hi, Erin!)

And, another milestone from Geniusbaby!

She loves this rattle because the handle is small enough for her tiny, clumsy hand, and because the "gem" is shiny.  But I worry for her motor skills.  She tries to put the rattle in her mouth by opening her mouth, and then promptly jamming the knob of the gem into her EYE.  I love her, but babies are hilariously unsmart.

It's funny how attached you get to your own child.  I was vehemently anti-children for years before Gloria.  My pregnancy was so grotesque that I adamantly argued Mike that I would only have one child.  That decision was solidified when Gloria's reflux and protein intolerances were so horrific those first couple of months.

Now I'm ready for number two.  (Don't worry, mom, not for a couple of years!!)  It must be some kind of creepy chemical brain reaction to prevent the human race from becoming extinct.
