Gloria and I have spent the day in bed, next to the vaporizer.  I consider this her first "real" cold, and it's terrible.  The day-long minor sniffles and low-grade fever she experienced at three months was a joke in comparison.  This is a full-blown head cold.  Pouring eyes and nose, coughing, fever, solid congestion.  She won't let me leave her sight, let alone put her down.  It's terrible to have to watch her suffer and not be able to do anything about it.  So we took our children's Tylenol, the laptop, and her favorite blanket, and we retreated to the bed for the day.  She's been watching Sesame Street and napping on and off.  I've been panicking about working on cows for school tomorrow, and how I'm going to get my homework done.

My parent s left on Sunday.  They were in town to renovate our garage into a dining room.  I can't put into words how grateful I am for their hard work.

Gloria's baptism was also this past weekend.  She was adorable, and so well-behaved for the hour-long mass. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm only going to dress her in baptismal gowns from here on out.  She was adorable.

I have to thank my sister-in-law, Kristie, for getting the photos at the church.  I'm never good about planning the photos I want for special events.  So we only ended up with a handful, and we wouldn't even have those if Kristie wasn't wielding my camera.  In retrospect, I should have organized things better and planned to get a photo with the rest of the family all together.

Gloria's favorite part of the baptism was the taste of her dress.  We couldn't keep the tulle out of her mouth.
