I despise teething.  Are teeth really that important?  I’m fairly sure that with our technology in blenders and food processors, teeth these days are purely aesthetic.  And for this aesthetic, I have to tolerate a fussy, whiny, impossible child.

Luckily, Gloria and I had a baby shower to escape to today.  This meant cake for me and a distraction for her.  Win-win.  Also, by the end of the shower, all of the other overtired babies and toddlers made Gloria’s mood look normal.

Now we’re home again.  She’s intolerably cranky.  I don’t mean a little bit fussy-cranky, I mean the only way to calm her is to either put her on grass or in water.  Right now we’re on the front lawn.  A torrential downpour just cleared up and there’s water soaking through the butt of my tulle skirt.  But it’s nice to see a smile on her face again.

The outtake, hahahahaha.
